For over 50 years, Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver has been working
on behalf of families and children throughout the Lower Mainland.
We are committed to the healthy development of children by providing them
with the friendship of adult role models. Our vision is simple, yet powerful:
that every child who needs a mentor has a mentor.
To maintain and develop our programs, Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver
generates 90% of its annual operating budget through fundraising campaigns
like The Bowl for Big Brothers Classic.
As the largest fundraising event of its kind in North America,
The Bowl for Big Brothers Classic brings workplaces together
to build team morale, enjoy a fun-filled bowling event
and raise pledges in support of Big Brothers¡¯ friendships.
Having raised an astounding $825,000 in 2009, this corporate fundraiser
is imperative to our continued growth.
Each year, multiple companies bowl at Commodore Lanes & Billiards
as part of The Bowl for Big Brothers Classic. In 2010,
our campaign will run from April 1st to May 15th.
